We spent our latest short break in Athens, renting a studio from 4 enthousiasts that together founded “Live in Athens” and have made their mission to welcome visitors in the friendly, warm and helpful Greek way. We felt like home in no time.
Located in a mainly pedestrian street in the lovely Psiri district only five minutes walking from the lively Monastiraki square and just three streets away from the busy market area, making that the studio is ideally located to explore central Athens on foot.
Athens is a vast city with over 4 million inhabitants and yet offers large green and peaceful areas around its incredible rich historic heritage as well as ample pedestrian streets where one can escape from traffic (at least in low season).
After strolling through the city for 3 days, we went to Pireaus harbour and took the ferry to the island of Egina.
